Anna Gunn, an American actress. Anna Gunn is an American actor. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love acting at the age of Preparatory School after her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also attended the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career working in theatres of the Chicago area for several years. Her next move was into film and TV. Anna's first major role was Arden on Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. Anna continued to be the guest on a handful of TV shows and films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 1990's when she appeared in a regular role in The Practice as Jean Ward in The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully The Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. She played the role in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days that premiered in 2022. The love story that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of his life.
